The Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business Club is the host of the 18th annual Intercollegiate Business Convention (IBC) in Cambridge, MA. This impressive event has keynote speakers, panels, networking, and swag bags too. Attendees receive products from many amazing Conscious Beauty Collective brands and others. 

"We met at Conscious Beauty Collective, a new popup started by Lynn Power in Natick Mall, in the suburbs of Boston. It’s a beautiful, fabulous store there until December 31. It brings together 32 amazing founders, 95% women, who together share conscious beauty products. Cindy and I met there. She’ll tell you about what she does, what inspired her, what the future looks like. Welcome to Take a Leap."

Cindy Barberes used to be focused on the facts: black and white. After leaving the corporate world, she discovered many other beautiful colours through a commitment to self-care. This extended to launching a natural skincare business that gives back to the community. Here she shares how she learned to compete in a new industry.

"We attended the swank opening of a Natick Mall pop-up, Conscious Beauty Collective, devoted to the beauty and wellness of its customers, as well as the empowerment of women-owned indie brands, which often struggle to get a foothold in the hyper-competitive beauty industry." 

This is Jackie's journey to sobriety. "Alcoholism runs in my family. I assumed I dodged that bullet. In my 30’s within weeks my marriage ended I was 8 months pregnant with twins my house had to be sold & my beautiful life burned to the ground. My alcoholism was like wildfire. I began drinking to escape, cope & survive."
